'Swapna Mantapa' directed by Baraguru Ramachandrappa will hit the screens on July 25th

Produced by A.M. Babu of Mysuru under Male Mahadeshwara Enterprises, directed by baragur Ramachandrappa and starring Vijayraghavendra and Ranjani Raghavan in the lead roles, 'Swapnamantapa' is all set to hit the theatres across the state on July 25. The crew members were speaking at a press conference organised to inform about the same.

Speaking first, director Baragur Ramachandrappa said, "The novel 'Swapna Mantapa' written by me 25 years ago has now taken the form of a film. It is slated to release on July 25. Produced by A.M. Babu of Mysuru, 'Swapnamantapa' is being distributed by Mars Suresh. It is a film that advocates conservation of heritage sites. In the past, the mandapa built by the king for his second wife was called "Swapna Mantapa". When some people try to demolish the 'Swapna Mantapa' built by a king in a village and use it for other purposes, the hero and heroine create awareness among the people and save the heritage site. Vijay Raghavendra and Ranjani Raghavan are playing the lead roles in the film. Our film has already been screened at many film festivals including the Bangalore International Film Festival. I have written the screenplay and dialogues for 'Swapna Mantapa', which has music by Shamita Malnad, editing by Suresh Urs and cinematography by Nagaraj Adavani. May all of you encourage our film.

To promote such experimental films, the government should open 150-seater theatres in every district. The ticket price should not exceed Rs 100. Then more people will come to watch the movie. I have given this suggestion to the Hon'ble Chief Minister. Baragur Ramachandrappa said that if the government does this at the earliest, it will benefit the film industry.

Every actor wants to act under the direction of such a director. I also wanted to act under the direction of Baragur Ramachandrappa. It has been fulfilled. It's a pleasure working with a good team. I have also sung a song in the film," said Vijayraghavendra.
