On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Kannada film legend Ambareesh, actor Darshan, who considers him as an equal person to his father, took to Twitter to pay tribute to him. Darshan, who used to address himself as "Ambi Appaji", has not forgotten Ambareesh despite his differences and has revived his memory.

Darshan tweeted:
"My father-in-law Ambi Appaji is still alive in our minds. His lifestyle, the lessons he taught and the love he showed have always been a guiding light for me. Even if you are not physically present on this birthday, Kannadigas will always be grateful for your artistic service and public works. We love you rebel star."

Ambareesh's birthday was celebrated in a grand manner, and Darshan used to be a part of it every year. The closeness between the two remained intact in the minds of the fans along with the film industry. Darshan, who saw Ambareesh as his 'successor', extended the bond he developed with his family to politics as well.

Darshan had supported Abhishek Ambareesh's film activities and also encouraged him by appearing in a guest appearance. Darshan was a major force in Sumalatha's first election journey. The seriousness of her love for her as "Mother India" was evident at that time.

However, after the Renuka Swamy murder case, there seems to have been a rift between Darshan and Sumalatha. However, darshan's heartfelt tweet about Ambareesh shows his loyalty and respect.
