Rs 200 Multiplex union moves court against movie ticket prices

Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara: Chapter 1' has been a topic of discussion even before its release. The Karnataka government has fixed the maximum ticket price of Rs 200. The multiplex federation has been upset with the maximum ticket price and has approached the High Court.
Though the government has taken this step to curb the high prices that existed earlier, the multiplex federation has argued that it is likely to lead to a setback in the collection of big-budget movies.
The hearing of the petition will be held on September 16 and the verdict will be crucial for the release of Kantara: Chapter 1 on October 2. While it is beneficial for the audience, the decision has come as a challenge for producers and multiplexes.
