Rishab Shetty not to pay last respects to Rakesh Poojary; Netizens burst out of anger

After the death of comedian and 'Kanthara: Chapter 1' fame Rakesh Poojary, director Rishab Shetty has not attended his last rites. Even though Rishab Shetty was shooting in Byndoor, just 30 kilometres away, there has been a barrage of criticism for not attending the last rites of his co-artiste. Actress Rakshitha, director Yogaraj Bhat, anchor Anushree, Master Anand and many others had come to Udupi from Bengaluru to pay their last respects. Recently, netizens refused to accept the fact that they could not go because of the demand for the same shoot. On social media, people have been asking questions such as, "Is there more commercial than an artist?" and "Is even a distance of 30 km a hindrance to empathy?"

Amidst all this criticism, Rishab Shetty had shared an emotional message on social media. "You are a wonderful artist in my mind forever... Rakesh had shared a picture of him with the message, "May your soul rest in peace." At a time when the public image of celebrities has to be strong, such an incident can also lead to a situation where there is a loss of contact with fans.
