Directed and starring Rishab Shetty, "Kanthara: Chapter 1" is now in tears due to the tragic incidents. Recently, the film's junior artiste Viju VK passed away due to a heart attack. In the last few months, three artists of the team of "Kanthara" have lost their lives.

Viju VK, who hails from Thrissur in Kerala, complained of chest pain while staying at a homestay in Agumbe for shooting and breathed his last on the way to a hospital in Thirthahalli. The family members are arriving from Kerala and the rituals will be performed later.

Earlier, on May 6, junior artiste Kapil had died of a heart attack while swimming in a river in Kollur. Later, actor Rakesh Poojary collapsed while dancing at a friend's wedding and lost his life in a similar manner.

"Kantara: Chapter 1" is a sequel to the 2022 pan-India hit 'Kantara'. While there is a lot of expectation from the film, these incidents have created panic among the crew and fans. Not much information about the artists has been released. The film is being produced by Hombale Films and their reaction to these incidents is awaited.

This incident has once again underlined the need for more precautions while shooting for the film. Such incidents are creating darkness in the world of cinema amidst the nurturing of talented artists.
