“Om, A, Upendra’s films amazed me”; Sukumar pays tribute to Upendra’s creativity

Sukumar, one of the most celebrated directors in South India, has carved a niche for himself in the film industry with his unique screenplay and technology experiments. Now, he has made a valid statement about Kannada director Upendra's iconic films 'A', 'Om', and 'Upendra'.

Sukumar, who was a guest at the teaser launch event of Arjun Sarja's 'Seetha Payanam', while talking about Upendra, said, "If I had directed these films, I would have retired by now." This makes clear the influence of these pictures on them.

"The madness, the frenzy, the technology game that Upendra brings to films – these things I have never seen in anyone else. These films gave me new ideas. I can claim that the screenplay in my films is good, but the credit for that goes to Upendra's films," he said.

Though Sukumar has earned millions of fans with his film "Pushpa", he has shown the mind of huge art with such honest words. Upendra was also seen appreciating these words.

Upendra is currently working on a film titled "A2" and Sukumar is working on his next film with Ram Charan. The fact that the two stalwarts of the film industry have opened a new path in their own style is giving a lot of hope to the cinephiles.
