Special shelter and adoption centre for orphaned cats in Bengaluru Tekian and Prana Animal Foundation have jointly opened a "shelter and adoption centre for orphaned cats" in Bengaluru. Bangalore, India - 30.01.2025 Cloud computing firm Tekion has joined hands with Prana Animal Foundation to open a "shelter and adoption centre for orphaned cats" in Bengaluru. This social responsibility program is part of Tekian's continuing commitment. Located on Kanakapura Road, the centre provides comprehensive care to orphaned, injured, rescued and disoriented cats. This service includes postoperative care, shelter and adoption actions. Commenting on the centre's service facilities, Rana Rabillard, Chief Human Resources Officer, Tekion, said, "We are proud to partner with Prana Animal Foundation to have a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable cats in Bengaluru and this centre will create awareness not only about essential care but also animal welfare and responsible ownership of pets." This collaboration is the third joint programme between Tekian and Prana in the last year with the successful launch of 24/7 animal ambulance service in emergency situations in 2024. "The opening of this centre is like a dream come true for me, it is the first care centre for cats in India, our thanks to Tekian for helping volunteers protecting orphaned cats and space to keep them until adoption, we can now provide special care and give cats loving homes, we still have a long way to go, we are excited for many further collaborations with Tekian, which supports our mission of helping animals," says the actress and prana. Samyukta Hornad, founder of Animal Foundation, said. The center has care facilities for cats that have been injured or injured by an accident, with regular adoption for the permanent life of the cats. As part of the activism, the centre will feature cat-themed murals painted by students of Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat and other local art colleges. Prana Foundation organizes educational activities for school children to promote compassion and respect for animals.
