SPB had a great love for Kannada: Let's remember his voice recording with respect!


June 4 marks the birth anniversary of S.P.B, a symbol of immense talent, an iconic voice, and the art of humanity. Balasubrahmanyam's birthday. Though he is not among us today, his singing has been etched in our minds. His love for Kannada language, Kannada cinema and Kannadigas was immense.
"I have a lot of fans in Kannada. If they are found anywhere, they will bow down," SPB's words show his love and faith in Kannadigas. These words filled his feelings and as soon as he spoke, his genuine admiration for Kannada became clear. SPB had carved a niche for himself in the minds of Kannadigas through the show 'Chest Thumbu Paaduvenu' aired on e-TV Kannada channel. In this programme, he guided young talents and played a true gurudharma.
SPB has sung his songs with Dr. Being selected for Rajkumar's films was the proudest moment of his life. He praised Rajkumar's trained singing skills and said, "It's another honour that he sang for my film." SPB, who sang in 16 languages, set a rare record by recording 21 songs in a single day. But the love of language, the feeling of language, which can be heard in his voice, goes beyond that.
Kannadigas cannot see SPB today. But his voice, songs and dialogues have always kept kannada culture alive. The echo of his voice will attract the attention of generations to come.
