“Love for Kannada means true loyalty” – Shivarajkumar clarifies on Kamal Haasan controversy

Tamil actor Kamal Haasan's statement that 'Kannada is the language born out of Tamil' has created a huge outcry among Kannadigas. Shivanna, who was initially silent on the issue, has now expressed his opinion for the first time. "Kamal Haasan spoke of pride in Kannada. They are big, they know what is right and wrong. If they make any mistake, they have the power to correct it," Shivarajkumar said with his loyal attitude.

Shivanna further clarifies, "Kannada love should not be just when someone speaks. It should be together all the time. We will fight and die for Kannada. It is not enough to pose, you have to do the real thing," he said.

Condemning Kamal Haasan's controversial statement, many prominent personalities from the film industry – Jaggesh, Chetan Ahimsa, Srinath, Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar – have already given their reactions. But Shivanna handled the issue wisely, respectfully and wisely conveyed the message.

"It is not right for Kannada cinema to support someone. Even newcomers need support. We have to see firsthand what we are doing," he said in a smart message.
