Krunal Pandya played a key role behind Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) victory in the IPL 2025 final. Krunal, who turned the game towards RCB with his accurate bowling, created history by winning the "Man of the Match" award. No one else has such a record in the IPL! Krunal Pandya is the only player in the history of IPL to have won the Man of the Match award in two finals. He scored 47 runs for Mumbai Indians against Pune Supergiants in 2017 and has now repeated the same feat for RCB against Punjab in 2025.

Overs that turned the game around in the final: Punjab had the upper hand with 52/1 in 6 overs. But Rajat Patidar, who gave the ball to Krunal in the 7th over, changed the course of the match. Krunal took two important wickets for just 17 runs in 4 overs with Prabhusimran Singh and Josh Inglis.
