With just a few days left for the worldwide release of Thuglife, actor Kamal Haasan has written a long letter to Kannada film industry film chamber president Narasimhulu clarifying his controversial language remarks. However, since there is no apology in the letter, it has again sparked a debate among Kannadigas.

In his letter, Kamal Haasan said, "Dr. "The words made out of love for Rajkumar and Shivarajkumar have been misinterpreted. "There is no intention in my words to reduce Kannada. I respect the rich heritage of Kannada language. Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam – my association with all these languages is eternal."

He has always cherished the love and affection he received from Kannadigas in his career. "I know the language of cinema. Cinema is a universal language that knows only love and bonding," he said, reiterating his stand for equal respect for Indian languages.

Expressing regret over Shivarajkumar's embarrassment at the audio launch event, Kamal said, "This is not my wrong intention. Let this misunderstanding be temporary. It is my wish that our loving relationship is revived," he said in the letter. But despite all these clarifications, he has not apologised, which only aggravates the controversy.
