Chinnaswamy stampede case: Four arrested after CM's instructions, key figures abscond


The Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede, which claimed 11 lives, has taken a serious turn. Following strict instructions from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the Bengaluru police have arrested four persons, including three from a DNA event management firm and the marketing head of RCB.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who held an emergency press conference on Thursday night, announced the decision to hand over the stampede case to the CID. The FIRs against the two have been handed over to the CID and representatives of rcb management, DNA event organisation and KSCA have been ordered to be arrested.
11 fans were killed in a stampede near Gate No. 12 during a free entry ceremony to celebrate RCB's victory in the IPL trophy after 18 years. Those injured in the lathicharge, breathing difficulties and falling in the middle of the crowd were admitted to the hospital.
