D Boss makeup artist Honnegowda passes away due to heart attack; Devil team in mourning!


Veteran Kannada film actor and noted make-up artist Honnegowda (54) passed away at the age of 54 after a brief illness following a cardiac arrest. He worked as a make-up artist for almost all of Darshan Thoogudeep's films and made a unique mark in the film industry with his artistic skills. Honnegowda, who was sleeping after having dinner at his residence in Basaveshwara Nagar in Bengaluru, did not wake up in the morning. The cause of death is said to be a heart attack. The news has come as a shock to the Kannada film industry and fellow artists, technicians and fans are mourning. Honnegowda started with Darshan's 'Majestic' (2002) and worked as a make-up artist in all the major films that followed. He was also involved in the recent film 'Devil'. The make-up he gave to the adaptation of various characters in Darshan kept the movies alive.
She worked as a key member of the Dibas team and was an inspiration to young talents in the make-up field. Honnegowda, who started his career as an assistant in Ravichandran's 'Ramachari', has been in the film industry for more than 20 years. His untimely departure is a big loss for Darshan personally as he has lost his companion. Honnegowda's diligence, discipline and great style of work will always be remembered. Members of the film industry and fans have prayed for his soul to rest in peace. The dreamers wished his family strength in this hour of grief.
