Bajrangi actress Rukmini's bag theft case gets a twist; Accused arrested in theft case
Actress Rukmini's bag containing expensive items was stolen. Rukmini, who had come for a morning walk on May 11, kept the bag in her car and left it unlocked. Mohammed Bastan, a cab driver, stole valuables worth Rs 23 lakh from the car and fled.
The Cubbon Park police arrested the accused and seized items worth around Rs 23 lakh. The seized items include a double-banded diamond ring worth Rs 10 lakh, a Rolex watch worth Rs 9 lakh, another diamond ring worth Rs 3 lakh, a bag worth Rs 1.5 lakh and a purse worth Rs 75,000.
