Rape case: Actor Madenoor Manu granted bail

Actor Madenuru Manu, who shot to fame with 'Comedy Khiladigalu' in Kannada film industry, will now be released from judicial custody in a rape case. He will be released from Parappana Agrahara jail on June 7.

Manu has been accused of sexual assault and death threats by his co-star and his friend. Manu was arrested on the basis of a police complaint registered in this regard. In audio clips that went viral on social media after his arrest, Manu can be seen telling the woman that he has tied the knot. In the audio, she is heard admitting that she is "my second wife".

The Karnataka Film Board (KFC) has decided not to do any film with Manu or cooperate with him in the wake of allegations that he had made derogatory remarks about a few famous actors in the audio clips.

The incident took place just a day before the release of 'Kulalil Keelyano' starring Manu in the lead role. This has brought a lot of hardship in his professional life and the team has also suffered losses.
