8th Navika Vishwa Kannada Conference in Florida, USA...

Preparations are in full swing for the 8th Navika Vishwa Kannada Conclave 2025 to be held in Lakeland, Florida, USA. The historic conference will be held from August 29 to 31 at the RP Panditing Convention Centre, which is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. A press conference was held at a private hotel in Bengaluru yesterday. Navika President Shivakumar, Conference Convenor Harshith Gowda, veteran actor Pranayaraja Srinath, Director Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, singer Alok Babu (All OK) participated in the press meet and shared information about the 8th Navika Kannada Sammelan-2025.

Veteran actor Srinath said that many Kannadigas who are scattered somewhere in the world come to the Navika Vishwa Kannada Sammelan. They come not only from America, but also from different parts of the country. People in America are happy. But they lack sentiment. There is all the deficiency here. There is a lot of sentiment. With that sentiment in my heart, I have gone to America from here. Sentiment they crave. Feel that sentiment at this ceremony. The boatmen are sailors. I have come there every year. I want to talk to every scattered artist. We will fulfill it through programmes like this. There will be Kannada and Kannada kalarava for three days, he said.

Business Forum, Women's Forum, Kavi Sammelan, Youth Forum, Sahitya Sammelan and many other programmes will be held continuously for three days. The conference will feature a variety of entertainment programmes not only by non-residents but also by eminent artists from Karnataka. The conference is being organised by The World Kannadigas Foundation, four major Kannada associations in the state of Florida, namely, Srigandha Kannada Koota. Tompa, Orlando Kannada Koota, Nandi Kannada Koota, Miami, and SaviKannada Koota are organizing this mega World Kannada Conference in association with Jacksonwell. This global conference will once again bring together thousands of Kannadigas from across continents to celebrate our language, culture and unity.

Shivakumar, president of Navika Sanstha and Harshith Gowda, convener of the conference, have called upon all Kannadigas to take the conference forward with enthusiasm and foresight and make it a festival of people's power. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and several other ministers have been invited to the conference. Also, revered seers of major mutts across Karnataka and america have also been invited to bless them. Actor, director and anchor Ramesh Aravind, veteran actor, producer and director Srinath and actor, director and cultural ambassador Rakshit Shetty are expected to attend the conference. Also, more dignitaries will participate in this Maha Kannada festival.

A colourful procession inspired by the Dasara-style Jumboo Savari of Karnataka will be held. Kannada kootas from all over the world will represent the districts of Karnataka. The procession will be accompanied by traditional costumes, folk performances, reconstruction of traditional monuments through tableaux and flags and music forms echoing Kannada identity.

Sangeetha Rasa Evening Programme: Navika Cricket Tournament, modern science and timeless spiritual programme, drama, storytelling, short drama programme on Kannada literature and sangeet rasa evening programme will also be held. Renowned music director Manomurthy and All OK Musical Night will also be held.
