Kottalavadi remuneration controversy: Actress Swarna opens up - "We have been brought to tears, Karma will not be spared"

After the release of 'Kottalavadi', the issue of not paying artistes is growing day by day. Actress Swarna has openly shared her pain over the issue.

Speaking through the video, Swarna spoke about her hard work in the shooting of the film. "I had agreed to act for Rs 48,000. But I got only Rs 35,000. That too after the mother had cried. The dues are yet to be paid," he said.

Responding to director Sriraj's allegation that artists are greedy because Yash's mother is a producer, Swarna said, "If I was greedy, I would have asked for lakhs. I am the daughter of a single parent. I just asked him to give me as much money as I talked about earlier," he said.

Swarna also mentioned producer Pushpa (Yash's mother) and said, "It is an injustice to the producers of our film. That's what I've been doing for a long time. Some of our artists are yet to receive the money. I'm scared to tell them. I'm going to fight."

"I called the director and his wife. But they have done injustice to me. They have brought us to tears. Karma does not go away. They may have money, but karma won't spare them," he said.

Though 'Kottalavadi' has been released on OTT, the film is now in the news due to the remuneration controversy. It is yet to be ascertained whether the allegations made by actress Swarna are true or in the words of director Sriraj. But the case has now become a big topic of discussion in the background of the film.
