'It's like house rent has gone up' – Sudeep speaks directly about Bigg Boss remuneration

Kichcha Sudeep, who has been a role model for a long time as the host of the biggest Kannada reality show Bigg Boss, has answered questions about his remuneration elegantly but directly this time. At the press conference of bigg boss season 12 announcement, when asked a question about his remuneration, he gave the analogy of "like house rent has gone up...!"

"I'm not on lease, not even rent. We have a relationship," sudeep said, stressing that he continues his Bigg Boss journey with love and respect. Though the question about remuneration was straightforward, he gave a cleverly committed answer and was appreciated by all.

He further added, "Every show has a budget and the contestants should also be paid. I don't always see money first. Remuneration is not something to talk about in public," he said.

Sudeep had initially tweeted that he will not host Bigg Boss, but later changed his mind and signed season 12. As a reason behind this change, he has taken a firm stand that Kannada language should be given more emphasis in the show.

"I don't rate you. I'm not a cheap. When the film gets bigger, we have to adjust. The remuneration received earlier cannot be planned even now. This is a natural process," he said.
