South Indian actress Anushka Shetty is back with her new film 'Ghaati' which is back on the screens after a gap of two years. However, even before the release of the film, the film has sparked a controversy. After 'Baahubali 2', Anushka Shetty reduced the number of her films. He used to appear in five-six films a year, but now he has chosen a few films and is acting. After making a comeback with 'Miss Shetty, Mr Polishetty', Anushka is now focusing more on women-centric stories.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, 'Ghaati' revolves around the production and transportation of ganja. The film is based on the struggle of a community and Anushka Shetty will be seen playing the role of a girl from the community. Since the trailer has more scenes of Anushka indulging in ganja smuggling, this has led to the ire of the police department.

Telangana Police's Anti-Narcotics Cell 'Eagle' has issued an official statement about the film. According to him, some of the scenes in the trailer seem to be promoting the consumption and transportation of ganja. So, after the release of the film, we will keep an eye on its content," he said.

Cases of drug use have increased recently in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. CM Revanth Reddy himself had also appealed to film stars to participate in the anti-drug campaign. It is in this context that the subject of 'Ghaati' has become more controversial. Apart from Anushka, the film also stars Vikram Prabhu, Chaitanya Rao Maddi, Jagapathi Babu and others. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, who has directed films like 'Vedam', 'Gautami Putra Satakarni' and 'NTR', the expectations from the film are high.

Anushka Shetty's 'Ghaati', the adventurous storyline, the background of the society and the alertness of the police department have created a lot of curiosity. It remains to be seen whether the film will be appreciated by the audience or will get into a storm of controversy.
