In a recent interview, Sushmita opened up about the truth of her life. "Even if I wear beautiful clothes, they criticize me, even if I use only a few English words, they criticize me as if I were born to English," she said.

"If I am shooting now, I get up at 4 am and finish my homework. It is my duty to prepare for the family. But people have disappeared all our work and are only criticising the vestus," he lamented. Jaggappa also recalled his old days and said, "Earlier, I had two-three pants of T-shirt. There was no money. Life has changed when it comes to fun. It was Sushmita who gave my life an urban awareness."

On the divorce rumours, she candidly said, "We both have a good life. Let outsiders stop trying to alienate us."
