Is the director of 'Thudarum' copying someone else's story? Strong accusation from Sanal Sasidharan!


Malayalam superstar Mohanlal starrer 'Thudarum', which released on April 25, 2025, has been an ighously huge success at both the box office and ott. Recently, director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan has accused plagiarism that the story of 'Thudarum' was stolen from the script of his 2020 unworkable 'Theatum'. In a long post posted on social media, Sanal said, "They stole the skeleton of my story." In it, an auto-driver named 'Ambi' claimed that a sensitive group who are already children of the police station in the Ponepetta murder case was set up in a fake manner in Thudarum.
Sanal also said that a special dialogue titled "Konnaal paapam thinnaal theerum" has also been used as a convenience of his 'Theatum' script. Through this dialogue, both the storytellers have been accused of rethinking the story by the producers of the film. Sanal has decided to publish his entire script on social media in the coming days so that the public can check it out openly. 'Thudarum' is the third highest-grossing Malayalam film in the world, with a profit of Rs 234.5 crore. The streaming will start from May 30 on Jio Hotstar.
What response the makers of Tudarum or Mohanlal will react to confirm and conclude that this plagiarism allegation is genuine is now the focus of curiosity.
