"'Om' is 10 times bigger than my Bhasha" - Rajinikanth huge praise on Upendra

Superstar Rajinikanth's much-awaited film 'Coolie' also stars Kannada real star Upendra in an important role. At the audio launch of the film, Rajinikanth shared words of appreciation for Upendra and the video has now gone viral on social media.

Upendra will be seen playing the role of "Kalisha" in the film directed by Lokesh Kanakaraj. Speaking about the same, Rajinikanth said, "Upendra is an inspiration to india's most intelligent directors. Uppi is an inspiration to people in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. Basically he is a director, but every role he has done as an actor is different."

He continued, "'Om' directed by Upendra is 10 times bigger than 'Baasha' in Karnataka. Upendra did the non-linear technique that Lokesh Kanakaraj is using now," he said. Reacting to Rajinikanth's words, Upendra said, "I can't forget the moment I met Thalaivaa 25 years ago. I have followed Rajinikanth the way Eklavya follows Dronacharya. Now this Dronacharya has grabbed his finger and brought him into the world of 'coolie'."

Produced by Sun Pictures, 'Coolie' stars Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Sathyaraj and many others and has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film will be released in multiple languages on August 14. This time, the on-screen pairing of Rajinikanth and Upendra will surely bring festive fervour to the Kannada and Tamil audiences.
