Screenwriter-director S.S. David passes away – family refuses to attend funeral!

Noted screenwriter and director S.S. David died of a heart attack. His body is currently at Victoria Hospital as his family has refused to come for his funeral.

David is a well-known screenwriter who has written screenplays for several important films in Kannada cinema. The film starring 'Agni IPS' Saikumar was once a huge hit. Even today, the film is a favourite of the fans. David had also written the story for 'Police Story', a film that showcased the functioning of the police department. Apart from this, he also proved his mettle by directing films like 'Hi Bangalore' and 'Dhairya'.

David died on August 31 while he was on his way to a drugstore. He was immediately rushed to R.R. Hospital in Bengaluru. The city's S.S. He was admitted to the hospital. But he breathed his last due to a heart attack. His body has been shifted to Victoria Hospital. But the family refused to come and accept the body.

David's elder sister, who lives in Kapu in Udupi district, said she could not come. The last rites will be performed in Bengaluru. It is painful to note that an artiste who made a great contribution to cinema is now an orphaned body. Several veterans of the film industry, actors and technicians have condoled david's demise. But it is sad for the Kannada film industry that his last journey is going on without his family. The fact that an artiste who once made a name for himself in the film industry today as an orphaned corpse is a reminder of the instability of life.
