"Shefali Jariwala, who stepped into the song of 'Pankaja..' in the film 'Hudugaru', passes away at the age of 42"

Actress Shefali Jariwala passed away at the age of 42 due to cardiac arrest. Shefali, who complained of chest pain on the morning of June 27 at her Lokhandwala residence in Andheri, Mumbai, was rushed to the hospital but died on the way.

Shefali, who made her mark in 2004 with her bold dance performance in the song "Kanta Laga", also starred in Puneeth Rajkumar's 2011 film "Boys". He had stepped into the song. She was known to the TV audience as a contestant in Bigg Boss season 13.

There were several twists and turns in Shefali's personal life too. She divorced her first husband Harmeet Singh in 2009 and later married actor Parag Tyagi in 2014. They lived a harmonious life as a couple.

Puneeth Rajkumar, who starred with Shefali, and Sidharth Shukla, who won Bigg Boss, both passed away due to heart attacks.

Shefali's body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of death. Mika Singh, along with many celebrities from the field of music and acting, also expressed grief.
