Superstar Rajinikanth, who attended the event, hailed Modi as a "fighter". Rajinikanth said that though there were speculations that the event might be postponed in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, he was confident that PM Modi's event would definitely take place. "Modi ji is not afraid of any challenge. He has handled the situation in Kashmir peacefully and brought a new lease of life to the country," Thalaiva said. Apart from Rajinikanth, Waves 2025 was attended by Chiranjeevi, Hema Malini, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Rajamouli and many others.
