96-year-old M S Sathyu gave tips on costumes and art direction for the movie "Koragajja" - Director Sudhir Attavar

Padma Shri awardee M S Sathyu is celebrating his 96th birthday on July 6. Director Sudheer Attavar and the team of 'Koragajja' are celebrating the excitement. The reason for this is Sathyu's contribution to the costume and art direction in the film. The much-awaited pan-India film "Koragajja" under the banner of Trivikrama Cinemas and Success Films is gearing up for release. The country's largest audio company has acquired the audio rights. Meanwhile, on the occasion of Sathyu's 96th birthday, the Sahitya Akademi Award-winning director has revealed that he has designed the costume after a lot of discussions with the country's renowned art designer, theatre personality-director M S Sathyu.

Since it is a story from about eight hundred years ago, it takes deep knowledge and concept to design a costume that suits that period. Sathyu's art designs are also on display at the Shakespeare Museum in London. I discussed guru Sathyu's hatra "Koragajja" and the costume design and art section of my upcoming film several times on the phone. By the time he got the complete information, Sathyu was suffering from age-related ailments. Then I did a deep study of myself and designed the costumes and art. But the art direction of my film 'Pari' was done by Sathyu himself," sudhir said.

The director has also done the art direction of 'Koragajja'. Sudheer Attavar has worked with M.S. Sathyu in cinema, theatre and TV for about 10 years. Sudheer has composed all the songs for the film "Ijjodu". The designers who are making a big name today come from the name of Sathyu, one of the country's greatest art directors. Such a great designer M S Sathyu was very fond of the story of "Koragajja". But he felt that it was very challenging and tough to make a film. Kabir Bedi, who played the role of udyavara kings in "Koragajja", a well-known Hollywood-Bollywood and European film actor, shared the costume of the film on his Instagram account.

Produced by Trivikrama Sapalya, 'Koragajja' is being planned to be released across the country. Meanwhile, the team is gearing up to release the audio, and trailer at a special location in London. The music of renowned musician Gopi Sunder's new 'Zonara' has already caught the attention of several well-known audio companies in the country. Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shankar Mahadevan, Javed Ali, Sharon Prabhakar, Swaroop Khan, Armaan Malik, south Indian talents like Ramesh Chandra, Anil Rajeev, Sannidanandanam, Vijesh Gopal, Pratima Bhat, Kanjana and others have composed the music for the film. Vidyadhar Shetty and Jith Josh are the editors, Bibin Dev is the sound designer, Liju Prabhakar is the DI colouring, the laven-cushion VFX and the graphics work is done by the film.
