Director Murali Mohan, who was suffering from kidney problems, is no more - a great loss to the film industry


Director Murali Mohan, who made a name for himself in Kannada cinema in his own style, passed away today (August 13). He was suffering from kidney problems for several years and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital on JC Road in Bengaluru. He breathed his last at 3 pm.
Murali Mohan, who has directed many popular films including 'Santha' (Shivarajkumar), 'Mallikarjuna' (Ravichandran) and 'Nagarahavu' (Upendra), won the hearts of the audience with his varied storyline and specific directorial style.
He had been battling illness for five-six years and had earlier said that a huge amount of funds were required for the surgery. Today, his demise has cast a shadow of grief in the film industry. Many artists and fans are praying for his soul to rest in peace.
