'I was raped, I was pregnant twice'; Madenuru Manu accused of rape, abortion

Actor Madenuru Manu of 'Comedy Khiladigalu' fame is now under the weight of serious allegations. An FIR has been registered at Annapurneshwari Nagar police station against Manu on charges of rape, abortion, money laundering and threat to his life on the complaint filed by an actress. According to the alleged incident, which took place in 2018, she befriended Manu and later became in a relationship. The complaint alleged that Manu, who had promised marriage, later refused and assaulted her. In a video message, Manu himself said, "This is a conspiracy to break me. The reason for this is the two heroes and Lady Don. I will reveal his name soon," he said. This statement has now sparked a huge debate in the Kannada film industry.

This has resulted in a controversy a day before the release of 'Kulalil Keelyano' starring Manu and produced under the banner of Yogaraj Bhat. However, the film's producer Santhosh Kumar said, "Manu did not misbehave on the set. This case will not affect the film. 'Something inferior in the clan' will be released on May 23 as per the scheduled date." The film stars Prithvi Amber and Kavya Saiva in the lead roles and the story revolves around fiery twists and turns against caste and society.
