Srinivas Thimmaiah's "Konark" movie launch at Sri Durga Parameshwari Sannidhana

The muhurat ceremony of "Konark", directed by Srinivas Thimmaiah of "Naanum Gunda" fame, produced under the banner of Manimara Films and starring Dhanush and Falguni Khanna in the lead roles, began recently at Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple in Nagarabhavi. PRO Sudheendra Venkatesh showed the opening plaque and launched the film "Konark". A large number of celebrities and crew members were present at the muhurat ceremony. Later, he spoke about the film at a press conference.

Speaking about the fact that it took two years for the story of "Konark" to be ready, director Srinivas Thimmaiah said, "Konark" means the light that falls from the sun to the earth. This is the apt title for the story of our film. Dhanush is playing the lead role in the film and Falguni Khanna is playing the female lead. Abhijith, Harry Josh, Sudharani, Ramesh Indira, B Suresh, Rajdeepak Shetty, Yash Shetty and others are part of the cast. I have written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Shyam CS is the music director, Sanket Mysore is the cinematographer, KM Prakash is the editor.Ravi Varma, Arjun, Chetan D'Souza, Vinod, Vikram are the stunt directors and Bhushan and Moin are the choreographers. The first schedule of "Konark" will begin in South Africa in October. It will be followed by Mumbai, Goa, Karwar, Honnavar, Bengaluru and Mysore.
