Chaturbhasha Star, Abhinaya Saraswathi B. Saroja Devi's demise has left the entire film industry in mourning. Veteran actress Saroja Devi will be cremated today (July 15) at her native place Dasavara in Channapatna taluk of Ramanagara district at 11.30 am as per Vokkaliga traditions.
Actors Shivarajkumar, Upendra, Jaggesh, Tara, Shruthi, Malashree, Tamil actor Vishal, Karthi, Arjun Sarja and many others were present to pay their last respects. While actor Karthi said he used to call "once a month", Vishal said "there is no replacement for him".
In the passing away of Saroja Devi, who was an enduring name in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada films, the film industry has lost a great actress. The eye donation offered to him also reflects his human values. Kannada film industry mourns the memory of the first female superstar of Kannada.
