In Sandalwood, different content is supported. "Jungle Mangal" is a film that has been appreciated by renowned directors. The film is slated to hit the screens across the state on July 4. Directed by Rakshit Kumar, 'Jungle Mangal' is a light-hearted thriller. He has been active in the world of colour for the past eight years in films and serials and is now coming as an independent director.

So what is 'Jungle Mangal'? The film is a light-hearted thriller that revolves around a young couple over a period of a day. The highlight of the film is the problems faced by a couple who go to the forest for some reason. Another fun is that it is like a fairy tale arranged based on real characters. Director Rakshit Kumar himself has said this.

The director says that the film is an attempt to show that nature has the power to destroy an evil force, adding, "The characters and incidents in it are real. The story of all this together is fictional. The characters seen on screen became closer to the coastal region. There have been instances of many young couples falling into the hands of villagers in the forest. Those who come to north India are called "Jungle Mein Mangal". I learnt acting from Suchitra Institute because I wanted to become a director in films. After that, I worked as an actor in theatre and on set property. From there I came to the serial. It's been eight years since I came from serial to film. I have worked as an assistant director and co-director for a few Tulu and Kannada films. Now 'Jungle Mangal' is my first film," says Rakshit Kumar.

We have used artists from around the coast. I first write the story and select the artists. There are some people and personalities that I have seen in my head. I have used such characters in this film. I have known Yash Shetty for 10 years. He was my first choice for the lead role. Ugram Manju was the perfect fit for the role of Babu. We selected a Bengaluru-based actress for the female lead and removed her from the cast," says the director. "The entire story of our film takes place in Madappadi village of Sullia taluk. It's a very remote area. If you leave the bike, only a jeep will go to that place. There are only 40 houses. The good thing is that the jeep divers of the village have helped us a lot when we were free because the film was being shot in the village."

Simple Suni's contribution to our film is great. He not only appreciated our film but also said, "What should happen from our side?" What came to our mind then was that all those who introduced him had made a good name in the industry. We asked them to present our team and asked them to make our film under your banner. He has happily agreed to it," says Rakshit Kumar.
