Jacqueline Fernandez gets shock in High Court – ED case quashing plea dismissed

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has suffered a major setback in the Delhi High Court. The High Court has dismissed a plea seeking quashing of the ED case against him in the Rs 200-crore money laundering case. In the case, Jacqueline is accused of receiving money and gifts from Sukesh Chandrasekhar, an accused in the financial fraud. However, Jacqueline had argued before the high court that she was not involved in any crime.

According to the ED's argument, a chargesheet has already been filed against Jacqueline and the case is on the verge of progressing. Therefore, the high court made it clear that the case cannot be quashed at this stage.

In this case, Sukesh introduced himself as a fake senior officer and took Rs 200 crore in cash and jewellery from Aditi Singh, wife of businessman Shivinder Singh, in a phased manner. The ED probe has found that a part of that money was given to Jacqueline Fernandez. Jacqueline Fernandez is currently out on bail and the legal battle is on.
