Venugopal's father Prakash said, "Initially, he said he would pay the expenses. But then the connection was disconnected and the problem became too much. We have filed a complaint with the police for this."

A case has been registered at the local police station in this regard and an investigation is underway. There are allegations that Rakshak visited the hospital after the incident and helped, but later did not come forward to provide any relief.
