Bengaluru: The 79th Independence Day was celebrated at Parappana Agrahara Jail in Bengaluru this year as well. Undertrials and convicted prisoners participated in the programme. But what caught the attention is that both actor Darshan and former MP Prajwal Revanna did not attend the function.
According to sources, Darshan, who is back in jail in the Renukaswamy murder case, did not attend the event as he was mentally depressed. Along with Darshan, Pavithra Gowda is also in Parappana Agrahara.
On the other hand, Prajwal Revanna, who is in jail on charges of raping a domestic help, also skipped the Independence Day celebrations. Their absence from the celebrations between the inmates sparked a debate in the jail itself.
