Competing with Rishab Shetty? If two Shivaji films are released in Bollywood, who will win?

Bollywood has announced two big films based on the life of the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. One of the films will feature Kannada actor Rishab Shetty, while the other will feature Bollywood actors Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan as Shivaji. Rishab Shetty's upcoming film has already been announced with the poster and Sandeep Singh is the director. This will be Rishabh's first attempt at Hindi cinema. However, the film has also been opposed by some pro-Kannada organisations, who have said that Rishab Shetty should not play the role of Shivaji.

Another film titled 'Raja Shivaji' has been announced which will be directed by Riteish Deshmukh. Ritesh will be seen as a young Shivaji while Abhishek Bachchan will be seen playing the role of a senior Shivaji. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt as Aurangzeb, Bhagyashree, Genelia and Mahesh Manjrekar in pivotal roles. Santhosh Sivan will be handling the cinematography and Ajay-Atul will be composing the music for the film, which will be released in six languages on May 1 in Maharashtra – Maharashtra Day. As a result, two different kinds of films based on the same plot will come out at the same time and the question arises as to who will get the appreciation of the audience.
