Allegations of assault on manager – FIR against Unni Mukundan, stir in the film industry

Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan has landed himself in a controversy. An FIR has been registered at the Kakkanadu police station in Kochi for allegedly physically assaulting his manager Vipin Kumar. The incident took place in the apartment on Monday and has sparked a huge debate in the film industry. According to complainant Vipin Kumar, Unni Mukundan got angry and slapped him for reviewing another actor's film. He also abused her, used abusive language and threatened to kill her, the complaint said.

Based on these allegations, a case has been registered under sections 323 (causing hurt), 506 (threat to life) and 294 (use of obscene words) of the Indian Penal Code. The Kakkanadu police have already started investigating the case and are examining the CCTV footage of the spot. Actor Unni Mukundan is yet to make any official comment on the same. It is being speculated that the allegations against him could damage his film reputation. The issue has sparked a huge debate among fans and film circles.
