The first roar of our soil historical story Halagali is out


Daali Dhananjaya highlights Kannada historical film Halagali. Saptami Gowda of Kanthara fame plays the female lead. 'Halagali', a multi-starrer film directed by Sukesh Nayak and produced by young entrepreneur Kalyan Chakravarthy Dhulipalla, has already created a lot of buzz. This is the story of freedom fighters. The film, which will be made in two parts, is being made at a cost of crores of rupees. The first roar of the historical Kannada film is being shot in five languages. The first look was released at a private hotel in Bengaluru.
Speaking on the occasion, Actor Dali Dhananjay said, "I am only for the sake of this film. I played the role of Jadaga in the film. Directors and producers are the real heroes. I have always wanted to make a historical film. We tried that kind at the beginning of my career. As actors, nothing is in our control. We are working. I made a biopic on Allama. Now it's all right. I had a fear. They start making historical films. Will they stop later? There will be no budget. It cannot be done justice. I read the script. Very well written. I enjoyed reading and reading. I met the team. He had finished shooting for the British episode. Amazing visuals. From there came faith. Sukesh and Kalyan are the real heroes of the film. He is working very shashtinated. It's a pleasure to be a part of this film. We will do justice to the films in this manner," he said.
Actress Saptami Gowda said, "My character's name is Honni. I have prepared a lot for this role. I have learnt North Karnataka language for this film. My look is different. It's a very rough and straight character. Director Sukesh Nayak said, "This is my second film. I like historical books. At the time of reading the book, the word 'Halagali' came to my head. What interested me was that the whole village had laid down their lives for a weapon. Then I read the book. I went to that village and met my descendants. His great-grandchildren are still there. The weapons they fought for have been kept in the temple of God. Then i got interested in it. I threaded the story. I made the story on a low budget. But the producers told me to rewrite the story again as it should be done neatly. We are making this film with every scene in our head without commercially damaging the original story. 40% of the shooting has already been completed. We did the first schedule in Mysore. After that, we will put up a grand set in Nelamangala and make a film.
The film, which is being made in five languages including Kannada, tells the story of the pre-independence heroes of Kannada nadu and is being shot in special locations. This is yet another milestone in the career journey of actor Dali Dhananjaya. The audience, which till now had appreciated seeing him in different roles on screen, will now see him in the role of a warrior. It is an interesting history that is etched in the pages of Kannada nadu's history by giving bows, arrows, ammunition and bullets to their hands.
Halagali. What we have read and heard about the Bedars of Halagali in our own state who fought the first guerrilla war against the British is very interesting. Director Sukesh Nayak is all set to bring to the screen the footprints of these heroes of Kannada nadu and their struggles.
Kalyan Chakravarthy Dhulipalla of Bellary is a young entrepreneur from Bellary who has invested in such a big budget film and turned producer. He is producing the film under his banner Duhara Movies. He has already produced Racheta in Telugu and distributed more than 20 films in Kannada and Telugu.
The film will be released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. A huge technical team is working on the film. Kannada actor Vasuki Vaibhav has composed the music. Interestingly, Vikram More, who composed the stunts for KGF, is the action director of 'Halagali'. Another special feature is that four to five huge village sets have been erected for the film.
