Darshan's surgery postponed 45 days but treatment still pending

Through Darshan, an accused in the Renukaswamy murder case, has been granted interim bail for 45 days, his spinal surgery is yet to take place. Though doctors have warned that surgery is required, treatment has been repeatedly postponed. As per the court's decision, Darshan was supposed to undergo the surgery on December 11. However, he has been admitted to BGS Hospital but has not been treated. His bail is likely to be questioned in the court as the surgery is being unnecessarily delayed. Extending the interim bail, the high court is now focusing on whether Darshan will start the treatment process. There is a growing suspicion that medical apathy may further complicate their legal situation.
