“Darshan ruined his life, he should stop associating with his neighbors” – Ramya's response to the Supreme Court verdict

Sandalwood queen Ramya has shared her thoughts on actor Darshan, who is back in Parappana Agrahara jail following the Supreme Court order in the Renukaswamy murder case in Chitradurga.
Ramya has expressed her pain towards Darshan. "I have acted in a film with Darshan. During the shoot, he had shared about his path. I was proud to start out as a light boy and grow to this level. But he was very upset with his recent behaviour. Somewhere, they have ruined their lives," he said. He added, "Once you grow to this level, there will be responsibility. But there seems to be no good people around Darshan. Had it been for the company of good people, the present situation would not have arisen. First of all, we have to leave the company of our neighbours and lead life in a good way," he said.
Talking about the Supreme Court verdict, Ramya said, "I felt relieved when I heard this verdict. Our society is on a bad track now. This is an important decision in terms of respect and protection of the girl child. The message has gone to the society that whoever it is, everyone is equal before the law," he said. Pointing out a soft corner for Pavithra Gowda, Ramya said, "I didn't know about her earlier. But she should not have been in this situation. Pavithra Gowda is survived by a mother and daughter. Had the law not been taken into their hands, such a situation would not have arisen. Anger comes to everyone, but it is not right to take law into their own hands. Such decisions ruin lives," he said.
Talking about Renukaswamy's family, Ramya said, "They are a poor family. They have got justice from the Supreme Court verdict," he said. Ramya's statement has sparked a debate on social media.
