Darshan moves court seeking refund of money

Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has approached the court seeking a refund of Rs 37 lakh seized from the police during the investigation into the murder of Renuka Swamy. He has filed a petition in the 57th CCH court seeking refund of the money. Case Background The police had alleged that the money was used to cover up the murder case. Darshan's lawyer, however, argued that the money was given as a loan to Mohanraj and later returned. Court action The court directed the authorities and the Income Tax department to file objections. The provision of this money will be decided in future hearings. Darshan and all the accused in the case have been granted regular bail and the final verdict in the case is awaited.
