Darshan faces legal trouble again; Darshan accused of violating Wildlife Act

Sandalwood's star actor Darshan is once again embroiled in a legal controversy. The source of the controversy this time is the case of rearing foreign ducks at his farmhouse in T. Narasipur, Mysuru. Darshan is said to have reared four special foreign species of ducks, the bar-headed goose, in his garden. However, the forest department is of the view that these ducks are considered protected animals under the Wildlife Protection Act and rearing them is against the law. The T. Narasipur court has issued summons to Darshan and his wife Vijayalakshmi and asked them to appear before it.
The case came to light in 2022 when forest officials raided Darshan's farm in Kempaiah's hundi and seized the ducks. Later, Darshan clarified, "The ducks were given as a dress by friends. I was not aware of them." Now, it has been confirmed that Darshan is back in legal trouble with the notice coming for hearing in an old case. The notice has also caught the attention of the people amid the recent debate on the Renukasamy murder case.
