Darshan's bail plea hearing: Arguments on abduction, assault charges progress The hearing on the bail pleas of actor Darshan and his co-accused in the kidnapping and assault case progressed today with SPP Prasanna Kumar arguing on the seriousness of the offence. The accused have been charged with kidnapping and assault, including fraudulently abducting, assaulting Renukaswamy and forcing him to read a message, physical harm and assault on his genitals. According to eyewitnesses, Darshan came to the spot in a black Scorpio car and attacked Renukaswamy, while Pavithra Gowda also hit her with slippers. Reports suggest that internal rivalry and message-related issues were the reasons for the attack. Conclusive evidence include blood swab, photo proof, statements of the accused, and post-mortem report submitted as key evidence at the site. The medical report confirmed that 17 bones of the chest were broken. The court's arguments were that cases of kidnapping, robbery, cheating and physical assault were registered under FIRs and slits, citing high court judgments in the court.
