Don't talk about Kannada language again: Court issues strict ban to Kamal Haasan!

Actor Kamal Haasan's controversial statement that "Kannada is the language originating from Tamil" during the promotion of his upcoming film 'Thug Life' has sparked a row in favour of actor Kamal Haasan. The 31st City Civil Court in Bengaluru has restrained Kamal Haasan from making any statement on Kannada nadu, language and culture.
The decision came on a petition filed by the Kannada Sahitya Parishat, which said kamal would face contempt of court if he violated the ban. Earlier, as a result of this statement, 'Thug Life' did not get a theatrical release in Karnataka. The film was released on Netflix on July 2 on OTT in five languages, including Kannada.
Despite the controversy, the OTT telecast of the film in Kannada is going on. However, kannadigas are still eyeing Kamal Haasan's next statements.
