'Coolie' atmosphere in Singapore! Tamil workers get holiday, tickets, popcorn as gifts

As the release date of superstar Rajinikanth's much-awaited Tamil film 'Coolie' approaches, the excitement of fans has skyrocketed. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film is all set to release on August 14, 2025 in more than 100 countries of the world.
However, a special incident that took place in Singapore has added to the hype of the film. Farmer Constructions Pvt Ltd, a company based there, has announced paid leave for its Tamil workers. In addition to tickets for the first day's first day first show, the company has also arranged for a 30 Singapore dollar allowance for popcorn and cool drinks. The company described the move as "part of workers' welfare and stress management" and the announcement has received a lot of appreciation on social media.
Side by side, another Singapore company called SB Mart has announced that it will close its shop from 7 am to 11:30 am on August 14. A madurai-based organisation in Tamil Nadu has also declared a holiday for all its branches and plans to distribute food and sweets to orphanages and old age homes ahead of the release of Rajinikanth's film. The trailer of 'Coolie' has already created a lot of curiosity and has received an A certificate from the Censor Board. There is also a debate that the film is not suitable for the children's audience. However, 'Coolie' has become the highest-grossing Tamil film abroad.
Apart from Rajinikanth, the film also stars Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Soubin Shahir and Shruti Haasan. Notably, 'Coolie' is all set to clash at the box office with 'War 2' starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. On August 14, it will not just be the release day of the film but also the day of Rajini festival for the fans.
