There were rumours that SunNext has bought the OTT rights of Upendra's directorial and starring Upendra. However, producer KP Srikanth has denied the news and said that the team will make an official statement on the same. 'UI' was released on December 20 and performed well in its first week. After the release of 'Max', there were rumours that 'UI' will be released on OTT. However, the team has said that they will inform about it at an appropriate time. The film stars Reshma Nanaiah as the female lead and the music is composed by Ajaneesh Loknath. 'UI' was released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
