Cinema ticket prices to be reduced: Government orders that they should not exceed Rs. 200

The state government has finally stopped the steep price of movie tickets in the state. The government has issued an official order that from now on, ticket prices in all theatres and multiplexes should be limited to Rs 200.
This rule will be applicable not only to Kannada but also to films in all languages. The decision was mentioned in the state budget for 2025-26. Now, the official order has given the cinephiles the expectations.
The high ticket prices in multiplexes had kept the public away from the theatres. The impact of OTT platforms also increased and people were satisfied at home to watch movies. The new order is also expected to increase the number of viewers in theatres. This move will encourage Kannada film industry and good news for the audience.
