'Abhinaya Saraswati' pays last respects to B. Saroja Devi: Funeral as per Vokkaliga tradition

Veteran actress, 'Abhinaya Saraswathi' B. Saroja Devi (87) passed away today (July 14) due to age-related ailments. For more than six decades, she has acted in landmark films in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi cinema.
Saroja Devi, who made her film debut in 1955 with 'Mahakavi Kalidasa', won millions of fans with her performance. 'Kittur Chennamma', 'School Master', 'Amarashilpi Jakanachari' are some of his films.
His body will be kept for public viewing at his Malleswaram residence and will be cremated as per Vokkaliga traditions near her husband Sriharsha's samadhi in Kodigehalli.
Loss to Kannada film industry: B. Saroja Devi's demise is an irreparable loss to Kannada cinema. His acting, laughter and expressive power will always remain alive in the minds of the people.
