Ashwin P Kumar of 'Kappe Raga' fame wins Aryabhata International Award 2025

Bengaluru, May 22, 2025 – Music composer and singer Ashwin P Kumar was conferred with the Aryabhata International Award 2025 by Aryabhata Cultural Institute at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Hiriratna held at Ravindra Kalakshetra in Bengaluru. The award honours his outstanding achievements in the field of music and his cultural services with the Indian community in Qatar.

The wildlife documentary 'Kappe Raga', composed by Ashwin, won the Jackson Wild Media Award (Green Oscar) in 2023 — the first Kannada-language film to receive this honour. His musical journey includes films like 'Made in Bangalore' and 'Chowkabara', with several albums, short films and performances at global events. He has received many awards for his musical service.

Despite the stress of his daily career, Ashwin has been balancing his work, musical passion and social service, winning hearts with his art and work.
