“If the movie fails, you should come back to America!” – Anup Bhandari recalls his Rangitaranga days

Directed by Anup Bhandari, 'Rangitaranga' completed 10 years this year. Reflecting on this background, Anoop shared his heartfelt memories. Standing in front of The Kapali Theatre in Bengaluru, he recalls that the reactions on the first day were mixed.
One of the first words he heard was, "You won't even get poster money from this film!" So, his wife Neeta Shetty said, "If the film wins, you have to stay in India, you have to come back to America."
But, the film really won. Though initially criticized by people as 'lag', the film lost its way due to Nirup Bhandari's promotional zeal, as well as positive verbal publicity from people.
'Rangitaranga' is all set to re-release on July 4 this year, giving fans a chance to experience a mysterious journey again.
