Actor Rangaraju, who spoke ill of Vishnuvardhan, passes away


Actor Vijay Rangaraju (real name Rajkumar), best known for his work in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada films, passed away in Chennai on January 20. He was 65 years old. Rangaraju, who was injured during the shooting of the film a few weeks ago and had gone to Chennai for treatment, died of a heart attack today. Rangaraju shot to fame in 2020 for his controversial remarks about kannada actor Vishnuvardhan. At that time, he had faced the wrath of Kannadigas and had tendered an apology. He was known as a controversial figure after the incident. Rangaraju made his film debut with the 1976 film "Seethakalyanam" and rose to fame with his role as Bhairava in "Bhairava Dweepam". Rangaraju, who impressed the audience with his villainous roles, has acted in several films in four languages. The news of his death has left cinema lovers in mourning.
